A Year of Unprecidented Expansion for the Scientology Religion
2005 has marked an incredible expansion for
Scientology churches and their community activities around the world.
The New Years message from the Church tells the story when it says:
2005 was an epic year for the Scientology religion. It was a year in which we expanded into more than 6,000 churches, missions and groups in 159 countries; a year in which our corps of 60,000 Scientology Volunteer Ministers traveled more than 90,000 miles to bring effective help to 1.6 million people from Sri Lanka to Louisiana; and a year in which 23.5 million people learned about Scientology by visiting our Internet sites.
Our social betterment programs continued to grow at an unprecedented rate in every corner of the globe with 64 million copies of L. Ron Hubbard's moral code, The Way to Happiness, placed into people's hands in dozens of languages; thousands of drug addicts rehabilitated through Narconon, Criminon programs now in nearly 2,000 prisons, and with 2.2 million children using L. Ron Hubbard's study technology.
Last Tuesday in Los Angeles
Mr. David Miscavige was master of ceremonies for the International
Scientology New Years event at the Shrine Auditorium. On New Years Eve, Scientologists on 6 continents attended events at their local Scientology churches and saw this event, which had been translated into 17 different languages and sent out in time to be shown less than four days later.
The event really brought home the point that the
Scientology religion is expanding at an uprecedented rate.
